Diese Bachelorarbeit befasst sich mit dem Thema der Kommunikation in der Pflege und bietet Einblicke in die Wichtigkeit und Bedeutung der Interaktion zwischen Pflegekraft und Patient. Sie ist an Pflegepersonal, Pflegeschüler- und Studenten, sowie weitere Personen gerichtet, welche in der Pflege tätig sind, oder an dieser Thematik Interesse haben. Die Leitfrage der Arbeit beschäftigt sich damit, ob es „die“ richtige Kommunikation in der Pflege gibt. Um dem auf den Grund zu gehen werden verschiedene Modelle, vor allem das Interaktionsmodell von Hildegard Peplau, wie auch die partnerzentrierte Gesprächsführung nach Carl Rogers näher beschrieben. Trotz des Herauskristallisierens sehr vieler hilfreicher Möglichkeiten, die Interaktion zwischen Pflegekraft und Patient zu gestalten, steht letztendlich fest, dass es keine festen Regeln oder Richtlinien bezüglich der Kommunikation in der Pflege geben kann, da diese individuell und von Person zu Person verschieden angegangen werden muss. Die dargestellten Modelle bieten dem Personal hilfreiche Mittel und stellen Fähigkeiten dar, die die Pflegekraft im Umgang mit Patienten besitzen sollte, allerdings handelt es sich hauptsächlich um psychologische und schon etwas ältere Modelle, welche der heutigen Situation besser angepasst werden sollten. Durch Empathie, Kongruenz, Akzeptanz, Zuhören und Beobachten kann dem Patienten das Gefühl der Wertschätzung und des Verständnisses vermittelt werden. Zusammen mit dem erarbeiteten Vertrauen des Patienten ist es möglich, eine Beziehung zu ihm aufzubauen, anhand der es gelingen kann, mit ihm gemeinsam aktiv an seiner Genesung zu arbeiten. Im Verlauf der Arbeit wird zunehmend deutlich, dass Kommunikation Pflege ausmacht. Durch intensive Literaturrecherchen, das Lesen von Studien, Zeitungsartikeln und dem Stöbern auf Internetseiten von Instituten, welche sich mit der Kommunikation in der Pflege befassen, ist zu sagen, dass die Kommunikation in der Pflege trotz zunehmender Professionalisierung heute noch auf teilweise veralteten Grundlagen beruht. Verbesserungsvorschläge, wie der Rat zu einer Erstellung eines aktuellen Pflegekonzeptes, unter Miteinbeziehung der Angehörigen und die Entwicklung einer Messskala für Kommunikation, runden die Arbeit ab.
