Daher hat die Verbesserung der Prozesse und Abläufe über die Unternehmensgrenzen hinweg in den letzten Jahren an Bedeutung gewonnen.
Das Supply Chain Management betrachtet dabei Güterströme, logistische und akquisitorische Informationen, Finanzmittel und Rechte über die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette. Mit der Umsetzung des Supply Chain Managements hat sich das Supply Chain Controlling entwickelt, da es immer wichtiger wurde, in der Führung und Steuerung von unternehmensübergreifenden Wertschöpfungsket-ten eine Unterstützung mit Hilfe von verschiedenen Instrumenten zu bieten.
Diese Entwicklung und die Etablierung des Supply Chain Managements bzw. Supply Chain Controllings ist in verschiedenen Branchen unterschiedlich verlaufen. Daher soll in dieser Arbeit das Supply Chain Controlling in der Automobil- und Pharmaindustrie näher untersucht werden.
Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Automobil- und Pharmaindustrie im Hinblick auf das Supply Chain Controlling und dessen Instrumente zu untersuchen. Insbesondere sollen dabei die Besonderheiten der jeweiligen Supply Chains herausgestellt werden und spezifische Instrumente des Supply Chain Controllings auf ihre Eignung und den aktuellen Umsetzungsstand in den beiden Branchen beurteilt werden.
Die Vorgehensweise wird im Folgenden dargestellt:
Im Anschluss an diese Einleitung werden im zweiten Kapitel grundlegende Begriffe definiert. Des Weiteren werden die hier betrachtete Automobil- und Pharmaindustrie charakterisiert und abgegrenzt, sowie zu ihrer Auswahl Stellung bezo-gen.
Im Anschluss daran verdeutlicht Kapitel drei nicht nur die wirtschaftlichen Strukturveränderungen im Allgemeinen, sondern nimmt auch Bezug zu den aktuellen wirtschaftlichen Entwicklungen in den dargestellten Branchen. Zusätzlich werden die Kennzeichen und Besonderheiten der Supply Chains in der Automobil- und Pharmabranche aufgezeigt.
