Ein Leben ohne diese Fähigkeiten ist geradezu unmöglich und geht einher mit einem hohen Maß an Komplikationen und Kompromissen.
Weltweit lebten im Jahre 2003 knapp 862 Millionen Analphabeten1. Dabei gehört zu den Hauptaufgaben eines Grundschullehrers2, dass er seinen Schülern das Lesen und Schreiben lehrt und die Prozesse der Schreibentwicklung nachvollziehen kann.

Gerade in den letzten 20 Jahren beschäftigten sich Experten vermehrt mit der Thematik des Schriftspracherwerbs. Erst 1976 wurde der Begriff Schriftspracherwerb in die deutsche Diskussion eingebracht, zunächst von Weigl, später vor allem durch Brügelmann.
Nicht zuletzt durch die PISA-Studien wurde auch wieder die Gesellschaft auf dieses Thema mit seiner zusammenhängenden Problematik konfrontiert.
Doch wie erlernt man eigentlich Lesen und Schreiben? Welche Voraussetzungen muss ein Kind haben um Schreiben und Lesen zu erlernen? Welche Stufen und Phasen durchläuft es dabei?

Mit diesen Fragen möchte ich mich in meiner Hausarbeit beschäftigen. Dabei werde ich drei Entwicklungsmodelle des Schriftspracherwerbs detailliert vorstellen und anschließend einen kurzen kritischen Rückblick vornehmen. Ich habe die Modelle von Günther, Valtin und Spitta ausgewählt, weil sie zu den aktuellsten Entwicklungsmodellen gehören und auch im Hauptseminar „Schriftspracherwerb und Rechtschreibung“ schon vorgestellt wurden.
Zudem möchte ich mich der Frage stellen, was Entwicklungsmodelle leisten und warum man sie für den Schriftspracherwerb ausgewählt hat.
