La première partie consacrée aux aspects anatomophysiologiques permet de mieux comprendre les nystagmus et mouvements anormaux observés dans la pathologie de l’oreille interne et de l’appareil vestibulaire. La deuxième partie consacrée à la clinique a été augmentée d’arbres diagnostiques et de vidéonystagmographies en ligne. Deux nouveaux chapitres sont proposés, l’un consacré au VPPB du canal horizontal et l’autre aux VPPB rares ou complexes. La troisième partie consacrée à la réhabilitation, avec notamment un catalogue d’exercices vestibulaires, s’est attachée dans son dernier chapitre à préciser l’importance du bilan vestibulaire dans les chutes à répétition des sujets âgés.

Cet ouvrage s’adresse non seulement aux ORL, mais aussi aux kinésithérapeutes, aux médecins de rééducation ainsi qu’aux neurologues et aux gériatres.
