Als Emil stirbt, findet man in seinem Nachlass Aufzeichnungen, die einem Geständnis gleichkommen, denn der Seehof war der Schauplatz dramatischer Szenen und auch eines Verbrechens, bei der Emils Jugendliebe eine tragische Rolle spielt.
