Gleichzeitig ist es eine große Herausforderung, alle die in ein Projekt eingebunden werden, oder durch ein Projekt betroffen sind, von „diesem Strom“ zu erfassen und zu begeistern.
In der öffentlichen Verwaltung sind immer mehr Beschäftigte in Projekten zu finden. Die Ursachen liegen zum einen in der Veränderung von Verwaltungsstrukturen, sowie in der Umsetzung neuer gesetzlicher Grundlagen.
Erfasst von diesem „Strom“, durch die Einführung des NKF (Neues Kommunales Finanzmangement) bei der Stadtverwaltung Solingen, gewann die Projektarbeit auch im persönlichen Arbeitsumfeld der Autorin an Bedeutung.

Die Arbeit soll einen Überblick darüber geben, welcher Grundtyp der Projektorganisation in der Praxis bei der Stadt Solingen unter Berücksichtigung der Vor- und Nachteile genutzt wurde und, ob dieser unter Berücksichtigung der Erkenntnisse sinnvoll und geeignet war.

Der Aufbau der Arbeit beginnt mit der Erläuterung, was unter Projektorganisation zu verstehen ist. Anschließend werden die Grundtypen der Projektorganisation beschrieben und die Vor- und Nachteile erläutert, sowie Bezug auf die Grenzen und Möglichkeiten unter Berücksichtigung vorgenannter Fragestellung genommen. Näher betrachtet wird die Projektorganisation eines Projekts der Solinger Stadtverwaltung, bei der die Autorin arbeitet. Die Arbeit schließt ab mit einem Fazit aus den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen und einem Ausblick.
