Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich BWL - Controlling, Note: zwei Minus, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (Professur für Controlling und integrierte Rechnungslegung), Veranstaltung: Management Control System, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Behavioral Branding kann als marktgerichtete Führungsphilosophie verstanden werden. Deren Zielsetzung ist es, die internen Kunden, d. h. die Mitarbeiter, dahingehend (intrinsisch) zu motivieren, dass sie im Kontakt mit den externen Kunden eine dem Markenversprechen konforme Botschaft zur Kompetenz der Marke zum Ausdruck bringen. Das Markenversprechen kann dem Kunden zum Beispiel durch den Slogan einer Marke (= Vision der Marke in einem Satz) kommuniziert werden. Folglich werden die Erwartungen, die der Kunde an die Marke stellt, durch den Claim/Slogan geleitet. Das Unternehmen erwartet von seiner Belegschaft ein Auftreten im Sinne des Behavioral Brandings, welches den Kundenerwartungen – und damit dem Markenversprechen – entspricht. Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Frage, welche Management Control Systems eingesetzt werden sollten, um eine erfolgreiche Implementierung des Behavioral Brandings zu gewährleisten. Dieser Frage wird exemplarisch bei drei Dienstleistungsmarken im schienengebundenen Transportsektor nachgegangen, namentlich iDTGV®, TGV Lyria® und Thalys®. Dienstleistungsmarken eignen sich als Beispiele im Besonderen, da die Mitarbeiter – aufgrund des Fehlens physischer (Marken-)Eigenschaften – zum Qualitätssurrogat werden und somit ihr Auftreten den externen Kunden als Qualitätsindikator dient (im Sinne der Erfüllung des Markenversprechens). Anhand der genannten Beispiele soll gezeigt werden, dass eine Implementierung von Behavioral Branding nur durch ein Zusammenspiel von Action und Results Controls sowie Personnel und Cultural Controls vollzogen werden kann. Zudem werden Erkenntnisse aus dem Kontext des Diversity Managements herangezogen, einer Form der Unternehmens- und Personalpolitik, die sich mit den Persönlichkeitseigenschaften der Mitarbeiter befasst und zum Ziel hat, diese Eigenschaften als Ressourcen für das Unter-nehmen zu nutzen. Dadurch soll die Bedeutung der kulturellen Komponente bei der Implementierung von Behavioral Branding deutlich gemacht werden.
